Final Project Reflection

My final project game was fun to do but was challenging because of all the bugs and glitches I had when I started. I tested my final project game by playing it and seeing what would happen. When something was broken or wasn't doing what I wanted it to do, I went into the code and changed one or two things and then played it again and see what would happen this time. Some of the problems that I encountered while I was building my final project game included sprites not disappearing, levels not progressing, scoring not working properly and sprites not moving. The game should work properly in the state it is in. Overall it was a very fun project and I enjoyed doing it.

This is my final project for Computer Applications. I have had a lot of fun in this class and I will continue to learn even more about computers.

Computer Apps Final Project: The Purpose of My Game

The purpose of my game will be that as the game progresses, it will become harder to advance to the next level. In the first level, the player needs to get a score of 5 in order to advance to the next level. In the second level, the player needs to get a score of 10 in order to advance but there are other sprites that will subtract score when touched. In the third level, the player needs to get a score of 15 in order to complete the game. The subtract score sprites are in the third level and the player has a limited space to move in.

Coding Problems and Successes

3 Problems

- figuring out how some of the tags worked

- fixing the tags so that they would work correctly / placement of tags in the code so that they would do what I wanted them to do

- <style> tag usage

2 Successes

- learning how to use the <style> tag correctly

- learning / experimenting how to make borders

Favorite thing

My favorite thing about this unit was learning how to code a webpage and learning how the tags we used worked.

HTML 4 Assignment

My Love of History

Why I Like History

History has been my favorite class for many years. It has always interested me as both a subject to study and a subject to experience through visiting places and seeing things. History to me is like a book, a long story about human life.

What I Study

My favorite time period to study is the 20th century. I tend to focus on the First and Second world wars, the Korean war and the Vietnam war. My favorite thing during this time period to study is the evolution of technology, especially the evolution of the airplane. The 20th century is interesting because of all of the changes that occurred to the way of life of all of the people in the world.

Facts

  • The Jet engine was invented by a British engineer.
  • Only 5 Olympic Games have been cancelled, the 1916 Summer games, the 1940 Summer and Winter games and the 1944 Summer and Winter games.
  • The first programmable computer was created in 1938.
